You
must be over 16
The 1933 Children and Young Persons Act states that
a person can be prosecuted if they neglect a child in their 'custody,
charge or care'. However, if you are under 16 and something goes
wrong while you are babysitting the child's parents may be charged
with neglect.

The Babysitclub provides a messaging system where only subscribed, registered members can contact you. Your personal details are only released when you agree to answer a contact request. You will only be known by your username up to this point. Your username is a nick name or your first name, this username you supply on registration.

 Babysitters
need to advertise their experience and qualifications in the most secure
way possible, leaving a name and phone number on public display in a
newsagent or supermarket is not desirable.
It
essential that you maintain your babysitters calendar as no entries
will mean you are not available to babysit.

Every registered babysitter
and Parent babysitter is provided
with their own free personal calendar that can be updated like
a diary from their members page. This calendar can be viewed by
parents looking for babysitters for specific dates and times of
the day. This saves time as babysitting availability will be clearly
marked.
The calendar is intended as a guide to a babysitters availablity,
and not confirmation of a booking. Babysitting confirmation and
interviews should be arranged by the contact details provided.

When you set the hours of a day available for babysitting, that day
will turn Green as shown below, indicating that there are available
hours
|
You can update your registration details by going to your members
page, just make your changes and save.

Both Parents and Babysitters have the opportunity to rate each
other after the Babysit on a scale of 1 to 10. The rating is shown
on the members profile as an average of all the babysittings completed.

Your first babysit?
Always meet the parents beforehand. NEVER
babysit for the first time without meeting the parents and children first.
